Work in Progress

This new novel is nearly completed after six years of researching, writing and editing.

Called back to her native China by the arrival of a mysterious letter, a young Chinese-American woman must deal with her estranged father’s illness, investigate her brother’s death, and ultimately confront the demons of her past.

The book focuses on the historical and psychological impact of a tumultuous past on individuals and families and is a mediation on themes that are highly relevant in our contemporary world. It is ultimately about people, their fears and hopes, their secrets and desires, and how they reconcile with their past and move forward.
